The James Stanfield Publishing Company has created a new video series entitled "Fitting In," which teaches children pro-social behavior. This series focuses on simple-to-use and easy-to-understand methodologies for non-verbal behaviors that can affect the way kids are perceived by friends, parents, educators, and authority figures. "Fitting In" helps kids become more socially competent and gives them the tools they can use their entire lives for smoother personal and professional relationships. Module 1, "It's Not What You Say, It's the Way That You Say It!" focuses on voice tone and intensity, facial expressions and appropriate versus inappropriate gestures. Module 2, "It's Not What You Do, It's the Way That You Do It!" demonstrates appropriate social distances, touch, body language, appearance, and measurable attentiveness. Module 3, "Little Things Mean a Lot," lists the top-10 behaviors that are annoying, likeable, or which make individuals "easy to live with." Module 4, "Getting Along," lists the Ten Commandments of getting along with others, easy-to-remember rules of give and take, and how to deal with unpleasant people. Module 5, "How to Disagree Without Being Disagreeable," demonstrates techniques for building rapport, explains "active listening," and shows what "don't get personal" really means. Module 6, "Fitting In," explains complex and subtle social behaviors clearly, which helps improve first impressions and develop positive social relationships. Stanfield is the number-one publisher of social and sexual education tools for socially and cognitively challenged and/or developmentally disabled youth.
